FAO to conduct new survey of aquaculture insurers and reinsurers.

In conjunction with AUMS (Aquaculture Underwriting Management Services) Ltd. FAO are to update the survey of international insurers and reinsurers and their underwriting experiences.

The last survey was published in FAO Fisheries Technical Paper 493. It is planned that the new one will be completed and published in time for the 11th Aquaculture Insurance & Risk Management Conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in March 2009. A questionnaire will be sent out to all interested underwriting organisations, in the near future.
